October is here and apparently she brought her entire coven. A tiny golden witch hat perched perfectly in place, her little familiar tucked into the forward helix, even a little toad tucked away (that I wish I took a better photo of) and a spider who has very clearly made herself at home. But it’s the web for me. ✨ The lil spider + web connected by layers of delicate gold chains, intentionally draped across the ear to create one tangled, glittering little masterpiece. Every chain crosses, falls and connects like our spider has been very busy preparing for spooky season. Whimsical. Witchy. A little dangerous. Exactly how October should begin. She gave me creative freedom with placement, and with anatomy like this, I wasn’t about to waste it. Her ear has this incredible natural curve; almost an elven silhouette ✨️ Instead of trying to make a traditional placement fit, I marked three flat piercings to follow the anatomy she already had, and she fell in LOVE. Three points. One deliberate line. Each placement stepping perfectly along that curve and drawing your eye straight to what makes her ear so unique. This is why I love anatomy-based piercing. Your ear doesn’t need to look like everyone else’s. The interesting parts are usually the ones worth accentuating.
